About the author — Aleksey Vasiliev
I'm a full-stack developer: Node.js / NestJS on the backend and Angular / TypeScript with a reactive RxJS architecture on the frontend. I specialize in performance and refactoring complex systems, write technical articles on Habr, and built this free RxJS Ninja course.
Expertise
- Backend on Node.js / NestJS: API design, microservices and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ), working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- RxJS and reactivity: turning flaky logic into deterministic reactive data graphs, managing subscriptions (switchMap / takeUntil), eliminating memory leaks and race conditions.
- Performance and highload: removing freezes and input lag (OnPush, change-detection tuning), speeding up search and rendering over large datasets.
- Reliability: fewer runtime errors through strict TypeScript and runtime contract validation (Zod), zero-downtime migrations.
- Community: author of technical articles on Habr and a JavaScript mentor (code review).
Why I built RxJS Ninja
RxJS is the most misunderstood tool in the Angular ecosystem: operators get taught in fragments, without an environment where you can run the code and watch the values flow. I built the course I wish I'd had: theory, the Monaco editor, and code execution right in the browser — all on one screen. Everything is open and free.
I wrote about the motivation and how the platform works, in detail, in an article on Habr: "Why I built RxJS Ninja" →
Open to work
I'm actively looking and open to hiring and project work — full-stack on Node.js / NestJS and Angular / TypeScript, reactive architecture, performance, and legacy refactoring. Happy to discuss full-time, a contract, or a one-off consultation. Reach me on Telegram, by email, or on LinkedIn — I reply quickly.
